Responsibilities:

• Call Coverage: Primary responsibility involves providing on-call vascular surgery coverage for inpatients.
• Consultations: May need to consult on inpatient cases as needed.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with general surgery PAs who are in-house most of the time, as well as a fully staffed team of hospitalists and ICU attendings.
• Patient Care: Rounding on unassigned patients, with an expected patient load of around 4 per shift.

Requirements:

• Licensing: Must be licensed in the state of Massachusetts.
• Board Certification: Board Certified in Vascular Surgery.
• Fellowship: Fellowship training in Vascular Surgery is preferred.
• Certifications Required:
  • BLS
• Credentialing Timeframe: Estimated to be 30-90 days, with temporary privileges available for qualified candidates.
• Privileges: No hospital/surgery center privileges are required for this role.
