Cardiology Physician Assistant

Yale New Haven Health Yale New Haven Health is excited to announce an opportunity for a Cardiothoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) within our esteemed Surgery Department. This role offers significant operative responsibility and a chance to work in a collaborative and dynamic environment. We are seeking candidates with OR first-assisting experience, and prior cardiology experience is a valuable plus.

Position Details

Coverage: Bridgeport and Milford Hospitals, as well as Park Avenue Medical Center

Availability: Minimum of 2 shifts per month, with flexible scheduling options

Shift: 8-hour shifts per week, with slight variations at Bridgeport and Milford Hospitals (rotational basis: 1 week every 4 weeks)

Staffing: 20 Surgeons and 4 APP staff

Weekend Coverage: Occasional evening and weekend call at Milford Hospital

Case Load:
100% Adults
1-5 OR cases per day
1-3 inpatients to round on
1-5 inpatient consults

Bed Count: Bridgeport Hospital has 425 beds
