  • Shift Schedule: Saturday and Sunday; 8a - 4p; 2 weekends / month
  • Reason for Coverage: Volume increase and leave coverage
  • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered
PATIENT INFORMATION
  • Average Daily Volume: 15-25 clinic patients per day; inpatient census varies
  • Case Mix: Surgical oncology, liver and pancreas
  • Rounding: Included
FACILITY INFORMATION
  • Specialty Backup Available: Surgeons available
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience: Oncology, surgical oncology, GI or Hepatobiliary Surgery background
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform inpatient rounding on surgical patients, managing patient census.
  • Conduct outpatient clinic visits including new patient surgical consults and post-operative follow-ups.
  • Prepare and review patient charts prior to clinic visits.
  • Collaborate with surgeons for patient management and treatment plans.
  • Provide patient education and coordinate care.
