Position: Freight Order Fulfillment Associate Salary:$18 - $19/hour
Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Job Description: The Freight Order Fulfillment Associate is responsible for accurately processing, preparing, and shipping customer orders via LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) and TL (Truckload) carriers. This role plays a key part in ensuring on-time shipments, inventory accuracy, and overall warehouse efficiency.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Utilize RF scanning devices to pick, process, and verify customer orders
Inspect incoming inventory against purchase orders and vendor packing slips to ensure accuracy
Prepare shipments by labeling, scanning, and staging freight for carrier pickup
Coordinate and schedule daily pickups with freight carriers
Safely load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling
Maintain organization and accuracy within the warehouse and staging areas
Develop a working knowledge of company products, services, and fulfillment processes
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
Perform inventory cycle counts as needed
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Order Fulfillment Manager
Physical demands:
Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds regularly, with high-frequency lifting throughout the shift
Ability to lift or move items exceeding 70 pounds when required (with assistance if necessary)
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, kneel, and crouch for extended periods
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent required
Prior forklift experience required (certification preferred)
Basic computer proficiency required
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
