A brand new Free-Standing Emergency Department (FSED) opening in April in the Bowling Green, Kentucky area is seeking Board-Certified Emergency Medicine physicians to join its founding clinical team. This newly constructed facility will provide both emergency and urgent care services and is designed to deliver efficient, high-quality care in a modern clinical environment.

This is a unique opportunity to join a newly opened facility from day one, helping establish clinical workflows while practicing in a supportive environment with strong regional hospital backing.

• Free-Standing Emergency Department & Urgent Care

• 12 total beds

  • 7 Emergency Department beds

  • 5 Urgent Care beds

• Projected Annual Volume: 25,000 visits

• Average Patients per Hour: 2

• Admission Rate: 5%

• Average Transfers: 3 4 per day to regional tertiary centers

• Managed by a nationally recognized emergency medicine group

• 24/7 CT imaging

• 24/7 Ultrasound availability

• Bedside ultrasound capability

• Efficient ED workflow with hospitalist support for admissions

• Modern EMR system with a planned transition to EPIC

• Independent contractor (1099) physician model

• Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support

• Physicians provide supervision for APPs

• Strong referral relationships with regional tertiary care centers for trauma, burn, stroke, and pediatric cases

• Opportunity to help shape workflows and culture as the facility launches

• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine

• Active BLS certification

• Eligible for Kentucky medical licensure

• Prior Emergency Department experience required

• Comfortable working in a free-standing ED environment
