CAD Operator

We are seeking an Hourly CAD Operator to support our foodservice design team by producing accurate restaurant and commercial kitchen layout drawings, including rough-ins, elevations, and detail drawings.

Key Requirements

• AutoCAD: 2+ years required
• Revit: 1+ year preferred recent experience preferred
• Interest/experience in restaurant or commercial foodservice layouts preferred
• Education: Associate or Bachelor's in Architectural Design, Interior Design, or related field preferred (or equivalent drafting experience)
• Driver's License required
• Must be able to work in-person in Virginia Beach, VA

Responsibilities

• Produce kitchen rough-in drawings (plumbing, electrical, and blocking)
• Produce kitchen equipment detail drawings, elevations and quote drawings.
• Convert updates/redlines into CAD revisions with attention to accuracy and file standards
• Assist with coordinating drawing needs with the FSDC team to meet project schedules
• Participate in site visits to verify existing conditions and support accurate rough-in placement (when required)
• Perform other design support tasks as assigned

Skills & Competencies

• Proficient in AutoCAD
• Working knowledge of Revit/BIM preferred
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to read and understand construction documents/drawings
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Presentation and documentation skills

Helpful / Nice-to-Have

• Commercial foodservice equipment design experience
• Familiarity with AutoQuotes, KCL, or Adobe Creative Suite
