Black Diamond Pest Control of Cincinnati is seeking a
dependable, hardworking, and self-motivated Nuisance Wildlife Control Technician to join our growing team.
This is a hands-on position combining wildlife management, property inspections, trapping, animal removal, exclusion work, and structural repairs.
We're looking for someone who enjoys physical work, can think independently, and takes pride in completing jobs correctly and professionally.
Previous wildlife control experience is preferred but not required. Experience in construction, roofing, carpentry, maintenance, or other skilled trades is highly desirable. We will train the right individual!
Compensation & Benefits
- $18-$22 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
- Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Job Responsibilities
As a Nuisance Wildlife Control Technician, you will independently manage service appointments, identify wildlife problems, and provide effective, long-term solutions for residential and commercial customers.
Wildlife Control & Removal
- Inspect properties for nuisance wildlife activity, damage, and entry points.
- Identify and address issues involving raccoons, squirrels, skunks, opossums, groundhogs, and other nuisance animals.
- Set, monitor, and maintain wildlife traps.
- Safely and humanely capture and remove nuisance wildlife in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Identify nesting areas, travel routes, and contributing conditions.
Wildlife Exclusion & Structural Repairs
- Identify and seal wildlife entry points.
- Perform exclusion work on roofs, soffits, fascia, vents, foundations, and other structural openings.
- Install wildlife barriers, vent guards, chimney caps, and other exclusion materials.
- Complete minor roofing, carpentry, and structural repairs.
- Safely operate ladders, hand tools, power tools, and related equipment.
- Recommend preventative measures to reduce future wildlife activity.
Customer Service & Daily Operations
- Manage assigned appointments and complete work efficiently.
- Explain inspection findings, services, and recommendations to customers.
- Provide professional customer service and maintain positive customer relationships.
- Complete accurate service reports, photographs, and documentation.
- Maintain company vehicles, equipment, traps, and supplies.
- Communicate effectively with office staff and management.
- Follow company procedures, safety requirements, and wildlife regulations.

Position Requirements
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work.
- Comfortable working on ladders, roofs, and elevated surfaces.
- Willingness to work in attics, crawlspaces, basements, and confined areas.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Comfortable handling wildlife and working around animal waste and unpleasant conditions.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete work independently.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to complete electronic service reports and documentation.
- Availability to work occasional weekends.
- Willingness to obtain required Ohio nuisance wildlife control certifications, permits, or licenses.
Experience in wildlife control, roofing, construction, carpentry, or property maintenance is a plus, but we are willing to train a dependable candidate with the right attitude and work ethic.
