Quality Control Inspector - Cable Manufacturing
Location: Plano, TX 75074
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00/hr DOE
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Job Type: Full-Time
IMPORTANT - REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Applicants MUST have previous hands-on experience with IPC standards AND Cirris cable testing equipment. This is not an entry-level position. Candidates without BOTH qualifications will not be considered.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector for a cable manufacturing facility in Plano, TX.
Qualified candidates must have direct experience inspecting cable assemblies and wire harnesses, working with IPC quality standards, and operating Cirris cable testing equipment.
Job Responsibilities
- Inspect cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and electrical components to ensure quality standards are met.
- Operate Cirris cable testing equipment to perform continuity, electrical, and functional testing.
- Inspect wiring, connectors, crimps, and cable assemblies for defects.
- Ensure finished products meet IPC standards and customer specifications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
- Identify, document, and report defective or nonconforming products.
- Maintain accurate testing and inspection records.
- Communicate quality concerns with production and management teams.
Required Qualifications
- Previous hands-on Quality Control experience in cable assembly, wire harness, or electronics manufacturing.
- Experience operating Cirris cable testing equipment - REQUIRED.
- Working knowledge and practical application of IPC standards - REQUIRED.
- Experience inspecting cables, connectors, crimps, and wiring assemblies.
- Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
- Experience performing electrical and continuity testing.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify manufacturing defects.
Preferred Qualifications
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification or formal training.
- Experience inspecting custom cable assemblies.
- Experience documenting quality issues and completing inspection reports.
