Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, dependable Full-Time Sous Chef to join our leadership team in a from-scratch kitchen. This role is ideal for a hands-on culinary professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and takes pride in line-level artistry-from bread and pasta to open-fire cooking.
Key Responsibilities & Core Skills
- Artisan Baking & Pastas: Daily production of fresh artisan breads and hand-rolled pasta.
- Butchery & Roasting: Whole-muscle and meat butchery, along with open-fire roasting of meats and seasonal vegetables.
- Foundations & Craft: Crafting house-made stocks, foundational soups, dressings, vinaigrettes, and artisanal pizzas.
- Kitchen Leadership: Partnering with the head chef to maintain high culinary standards, consistency, kitchen cleanliness, and team communication.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of professional culinary/line experience in a high-volume or scratch kitchen environment.
- Solid foundation in classical culinary techniques (sauces, stocks, butchery, dough fermentation).
- Strong organization, line work efficiency, and a team-first mindset.
