Physiatry/Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician

A medical practice is seeking a PMR Physician for an outpatient role split between Tremont in the Bronx and New Rochelle, New York.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Day shift
• Schedule: Monday-Friday
• Hours: Standard business hours
• Setting: Outpatient

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients to determine rehabilitation needs and appropriate treatment plans
• Diagnose pain and functional limitations related to injury, disease, or disabling conditions
• Perform and oversee procedures such as trigger point, soft tissue, and joint injections
• Manage ongoing patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
• Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic testing, including EMG/NCV studies and imaging

Qualifications:

• M.D. or D.O. degree
• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation through ABPMR
• Experience with injections and prescribing medications

Desired Skills:

• Experience in outpatient musculoskeletal physiatry
• Familiarity with workers' compensation and no-fault injury care
• Experience coordinating care with physical therapists and other specialists
• Knowledge of orthotic device prescribing and fitting
