Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain financial statements, ensuring overall accuracy and completeness
Review and reconcile general ledger activity and support quarterly financial statement reviews
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries
Prepare tax projections and compile supporting source documentation
Assist in preparing tax packages, including schedules and supporting documents
Liaise with the Tax Department on client matters, including tax payments, notices, audits, and research
Track and reconcile fixed assets and depreciation schedules
Support LA City Business License renewals, 1099 preparation/filing, and sales tax reporting
Process payroll setup and ongoing payroll transactions
Maintain and update chart of accounts
Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines
Other tasks as provided

REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 2-3 years experience in an accountant or accounting role at an accounting or CPA Firm
Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or an equivalent field
Commute 3 days in the office located in Beverly Hills
