Medical Director/Physician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Medical Director / Physician to provide medical direction and clinical oversight for a correctional healthcare program in Michigan. The ideal candidate will oversee patient care, approve medical treatments, manage medical emergencies, and ensure compliance with applicable healthcare standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide medical direction and clinical oversight for the correctional healthcare program.
- Approve medications, medical treatments, and patient care plans.
- Provide and oversee physician sick-call services.
- Evaluate patients' medical conditions and determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Oversee the management of chronic illnesses and specialized medical conditions.
- Handle medical emergencies and coordinate outside medical referrals when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare standards, regulations, and laws.
- Provide physician coverage and clinical support for the jail healthcare program.
- Be available for consultations via telephone, video conference, fax, and in-person visits as required.

Requirements:
- Must hold a valid Michigan medical license.
- Must be able to provide physician coverage for the jail healthcare program.
- Must comply with all applicable healthcare standards, regulations, and laws.
- A current resume must be included with the proposal.
- Must have the ability to provide clinical oversight for a correctional healthcare program.
