Position: Fitter/Welder
We are seeking a skilled Fitter/Welder to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for fitting, welding, and assembling structural components by interpreting blueprints and technical drawings. The ideal candidate will bring strong welding expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
- Plan layouts and take accurate measurements for structural components.
- Select and operate appropriate welding equipment and techniques for each project.
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of materials.
- Fit and prepare parts for welding, ensuring precision and alignment.
- Operate hand and power tools such as angle grinders, calipers, and rulers.
- Conduct self-inspections to maintain quality standards.
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Welder with fitting experience (majority of shift will be fitting).
- Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding.
- Professional Certification (AWS Welding Certificate) preferred.
- Experience with a variety of welding equipment, hand tools, and measuring devices.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Solid understanding of health and safety guidelines.
- High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Compensation & Schedule
- Job Type: Full-time
- Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour (based on experience)
- Schedule: 40+ hours per week
