About the Role
As a Dentist, you will provide comprehensive oral healthcare services, including preventive, restorative, surgical, and emergency dental care. You will play a key role in improving patient health and quality of life while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct dental examinations and consultations
- Diagnose and treat oral diseases and conditions
- Interpret dental radiographs
- Perform restorative procedures and fillings
- Diagnose and treat periodontal disease
- Extract teeth and perform basic oral surgery
- Provide endodontic treatment
- Deliver prosthetic dental care within established guidelines
- Prescribe medications when appropriate
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and disease prevention
- Maintain accurate electronic health record documentation
- Respond to dental emergencies as needed
- Collaborate with healthcare and facility staff to ensure efficient patient care
- Provide clinical guidance to dental assistants and hygienists
- Support quality assurance and accreditation initiatives
Schedule
Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Standard 4-day work week available
- Optional 5th day for providers seeking additional hours
- Flexible scheduling options
- Part-time availability considered
Qualifications Required
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree
- Active dental license in good standing, or willingness to obtain licensure if required
- Ability to meet all federal, state, and facility credentialing requirements
Preferred
- One or more years of clinical dentistry experience
- Correctional, community health, public health, or underserved population experience
- Current CPR certification
