Anesthesiologist Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $10,700-$11,280
- Location: Somerset, Pennsylvania
- Start Date: December 28, 2026
- End Date: March 29, 2027
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Expected Commitment: Approximately 36 hours per week
- Daytime Coverage: Monday-Friday, 6:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. or 5:30 p.m.
- Weeknight Call: Monday-Friday, 5:30 p.m.-7:00 a.m.
- Weekend Call: Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 a.m.-7:00 a.m.
- Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
General Anesthesiologist Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of anesthesiology experience
- MD or DO degree
- Board certified or board eligible in Anesthesiology
- Demonstrated comfort providing pediatric anesthesia
- Demonstrated proficiency in regional anesthesia
- Ability and willingness to provide weeknight and 24-hour weekend call coverage
- Experience with general anesthesia and orthopedic procedures
- Eligibility for appropriate Pennsylvania medical licensure and credentialing
- NPDB self-query available for review during presentation
Anesthesiologist Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for pediatric and adult patients
- Administer general and regional anesthesia for scheduled procedures
- Support orthopedic surgical cases and other assigned procedures
- Evaluate patients before procedures and develop individualized anesthesia plans
- Monitor patients throughout the perioperative period and manage post-anesthesia recovery
- Provide scheduled weeknight and 24-hour weekend call coverage
- Collaborate with surgeons, procedural teams, nursing staff, and other clinicians to promote excellent patient outcomes
