Job Description
We are currently seeking a dependable, hardworking Material Handler for an immediate opportunity in an industrial manufacturing environment. This position is initially a 4-week assignment, with the potential to transition into a long-term role based on performance, attendance, and business needs.
The ideal candidate will have previous material handling or warehouse experience. Industrial painting and GL (General Labor) experience are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Load, unload, move, and organize materials throughout the facility.
- Assist with staging, preparing, and transporting materials for production.
- Perform general labor duties to support daily manufacturing operations.
- Assist with industrial painting, surface preparation, and related tasks as needed.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
- Inspect materials for visible damage and report discrepancies.
- Follow established safety procedures and company guidelines.
- Assist other departments with general production and material handling needs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in material handling, warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial environments preferred.
- Industrial painting or surface preparation experience is a strong plus.
- General labor experience preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively with a team.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to safety.
- Forklift experience is a plus but not required.
Assignment Details
This position is expected to last approximately 4 weeks initially. Candidates who demonstrate strong performance, dependability, and a positive attitude may be considered for continued employment based on business needs.
