Watermark Pools is a family-owned company that has been building high-end gunite swimming pools since 2005. With a team of approximately 20 employees, we're proud of the quality of our work, the relationships we build with our customers, and the way we treat our employees.
We're looking for a dependable, hardworking person to join our pool construction crew. You'll work alongside an experienced foreman and help build custom swimming pools from the ground up, learning a variety of construction skills along the way.
You don't need to know how to build a swimming pool when you start. If you have construction experience, a good work ethic, mechanical ability, and a willingness to learn, we'll teach you the pool-specific skills you need to succeed.
This is an opportunity to learn a specialized trade, develop valuable construction skills, and potentially grow into a lead installer or foreman as you gain experience.
What You'll Do
You'll be involved in multiple phases of custom pool construction, including:
- Assisting with excavation and operating construction equipment as skills develop.
- Loading, unloading, and transporting tools, equipment, and materials.
- Helping install pool plumbing, PVC piping, and fittings.
- Cutting, bending, and tying reinforcing steel (rebar).
- Building forms and preparing pools for shotcrete/gunite.
- Assisting with tile, coping, and other finish work.
- Installing pumps, filters, heaters, and other pool equipment as you learn.
- Maintaining tools, equipment, trailers, and an organized jobsite.
- Following construction plans and instructions from the foreman.
- Keeping jobsites clean, safe, and professional.
- Working with the crew to complete projects efficiently and to our quality standards.
No two projects are exactly alike. You'll have the opportunity to learn different skills and see a custom swimming pool come together from excavation to completion.
Who We're Looking For
We're more interested in your attitude, reliability, and ability to learn than whether you've worked in the pool industry before.
The ideal candidate:
- Has construction, landscaping, concrete, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, or similar hands-on experience.
- Is mechanically inclined and comfortable working with tools and equipment.
- Shows up on time and takes responsibility for their work.
- Follows instructions and asks questions when something isn't clear.
- Takes pride in doing a job correctly rather than simply getting it done.
- Works well with others and respects the people around them.
- Is comfortable working outdoors and performing physical labor.
- Wants to develop skills and take on more responsibility over time.
Experience operating skid steers, excavators, or other construction equipment is a plus.
We can teach construction skills to the right person. Dependability, a good attitude, and pride in your work are much harder to teach.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable transportation to work and job sites.
- Ability to perform physical construction work, including lifting, bending, carrying, and working outdoors.
- Willingness to learn new skills and follow safety procedures.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Construction experience preferred but not required for the right candidate.
