About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dependable, energetic, and customer-focused Front of House Associate / Dishwasher to join an established contract food service organization.
This position supports daily caf and dining operations by combining front-of-house guest service, stocking, light food preparation, dishwashing, and sanitation responsibilities.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming dining environment while supporting the kitchen team and delivering an excellent customer experience.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in food service but prefers a consistent daytime schedule with weekends and holidays off.
Key Responsibilities
Front of House & Guest Service
Greet and assist guests with a friendly, professional attitude.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming caf and dining environment.
Brew coffee and replenish coffee supplies throughout the day.
Stock napkins, utensils, condiments, beverages, and other guest-facing supplies.
Clean and maintain dining room tables, counters, and service areas.
Respond to guest questions and requests professionally.
Support daily caf operations and maintain strong service standards.
Dishwashing & Kitchen Support
Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
Hand wash delicate items or equipment as needed.
Properly organize and store cleaned dishes and supplies.
Maintain clean and organized dishwashing and kitchen areas.
Assist with light food preparation, including wrapping pastries and portioning sauces.
Support kitchen staff during busy service periods.
Stocking & Inventory
Restock food, beverages, utensils, and supplies to established par levels.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs.
Check product expiration dates and maintain proper product rotation.
Follow first-in, first-out (FIFO) inventory procedures.
Maintain organized storage and service areas.
Cleaning & Sanitation
Clean and sanitize work surfaces, equipment, and utensils.
Empty trash and recycling containers regularly.
Maintain cleanliness throughout the caf, kitchen, and dining areas.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
Assist with daily opening, closing, and general cleaning responsibilities.
Teamwork & Communication
Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house team members to maintain efficient operations.
Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
Assist with daily operational needs and changing priorities.
Support the training of new employees when needed.
Contribute to a positive, respectful, and team-oriented workplace.
Qualifications & Experience
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in food service, dishwashing, caf operations, hospitality, or a similar position.
Basic knowledge of food handling and sanitation procedures.
Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment and dishwashing procedures.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Dependable, punctual, and willing to assist wherever needed.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Previous experience in corporate dining, cafeterias, cafs, restaurants, catering, or other food service environments is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Pay: $17.75 $21.00, based on experience and qualifications.

Standard Hours: Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
This position operates in a professional food service and caf environment.
The role requires:
Extended periods of standing and walking
Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting
Working around commercial kitchen equipment and varying temperatures
Handling cleaning and sanitation products safely
Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
