Job Title: Corporate Franchise Attorney
Location: Dallas, TX
Salary: $140,000 - $145,000 per year
Join one of the largest multi-brand franchise operators in the country, with over 1,000 restaurant and retail locations spanning some of the most recognized names in the industry. Since 1997, this organization has built a reputation as a leader in franchise development and multi-unit operations, and its recent expansion into franchising itself reflects a culture that rewards ambition, collaboration, and sharp legal thinking. The legal team here operates with an entrepreneurial mindset, supporting rapid, multi-brand growth across a diverse and fast-moving portfolio.
If you're a few years into your legal career and ready to do more than support senior partners on deals you'll never lead, this role was built for you. Many strong attorneys spend years waiting for real responsibility at a large firm reviewing documents, advising from the margins, and watching the meaningful work go up the chain. This opportunity breaks that cycle. As Corporate Franchise Attorney with one of the country's largest multi-brand franchise operators, you'll own your matters, work directly with business leaders across operations, real estate, and development, and build deep expertise in franchise law, M&A, and regulatory compliance without waiting another decade to earn it. If you have five or more years of solid transactional or franchise-adjacent experience and the drive to grow into a senior legal role, this is the kind of in-house seat that can define the next chapter of your career.
Job Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school with active bar membership in Texas (or eligibility for reciprocity/waiver).
5+ years of legal experience with a substantial focus on franchise law; experience as a transactional attorney representing either franchisors or large multi-unit franchisees strongly preferred.
Familiarity with FTC Franchise Rule requirements, state franchise registration and disclosure laws, and FDD preparation, reflecting strong regulatory and compliance attorney experience.
Experience with M&A transactions, particularly acquisitions of franchise units or brands, is a plus.
Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage a high volume of matters across multiple restaurant and retail brands simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills and comfort advising non-legal business stakeholders across operations, development, and real estate.
Prior in-house counsel experience at a multi-unit franchise operator, restaurant company, or franchisor is a strong plus.
