We provide 24-hour coverage for high-risk deliveries and staff a dedicated neonatal ground transport team
Team consists of five board-certified Neonatologists, eleven certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioners, neonatal nurses, respiratory therapists
Provide exceptional care for newborns ranging from 23 weeks gestation through post-term, including those with complex medical needs.
Each shift is supported by a collaborative team structure that includes:
Two Neonatologists (attending physician and back-up physician
Two Neonatal Nurse Practitioners
Day shift coverage: 7:30 AM " 8:30 PM
Night shift coverage: 8:00 PM " 8:30 AM
Position Highlights
Position primarily supports night shift coverage, with occasional day shifts depending on staffing needs
Structured orientation and intensive training program (3"12 months) tailored to experience level
Flexible scheduling model with a total annual commitment of 144 shifts, including clinical coverage, education days, and administrative time as scheduling permits
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program
Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-BC)
Eligible for North Carolina licensure
