Join a dynamic laboratory team that plays a crucial role in the pre-analytical and post-analytical processes of testing. You will be responsible for receiving, logging, and preparing incoming samples for the lab. This role also includes managing sample storage and disposal. Responsibilities

• Meet couriers to receive samples from across the USA and internationally, initiating the tracking process.
• Verify the arrival of all samples, inspect for damage, and manage packaging disposal.
• Utilize multiple computer software systems, remembering specific applications for different samples.
• Ensure sample names match requisitions.
• Handle various types of samples, primarily urine, but also blood, serum, plasma, and body fluids.
• Create and apply labels to samples after data entry into systems.
• Occasionally aliquot samples, centrifuge, or freeze them for stabilization as needed.
• Contribute to processing 5,000-11,000 samples daily.
• Manage workflow for sample maintenance in walk-in refrigerators and freezers after 3, 6, and 12 months.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma, with a preference for some science coursework.
• Desire to advance within the lab

This is a Contract position based out of Saint Paul, MN.

The pay range for this position is $19.53 - $19.53/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
