Job Requirements
- Board certified in Neurosurgery; board eligible candidates are not accepted
- Minimum 2-3 years of post-fellowship experience required
- Active Michigan medical license required; IMLC may be considered with a 100% clean background
- ACLS required
- Must have a clean background with no actions
- Must be able to perform both spinal and cranial neurosurgery cases
- NPDB self-query required within one month of submission
Responsibilities
- Provide 24-hour neurosurgical call coverage for a hospital-based patient population
- Perform inpatient rounding and manage daily admissions
- Evaluate and treat emergent neurosurgical consults in a timely manner
- Perform emergent surgeries as needed
- Deliver comprehensive care for both spinal and cranial neurosurgical cases
- Collaborate with on-site imaging, laboratory, procedure, operating room, and APP support teams
- Manage an average of 5-10 inpatients per day
