Architectural Specifications Coordinator

Responsibilities: Review construction documents to establish material selection and prepare technical project specifications. Perform a QA/QC review of project documentation, redline construction documents prior to the project bid advertisement to minimize change orders. Provide technical guidance through the construction document phase. Prepare addenda during the project bidding period to clarify and modify the bid documents in accordance with NJ bidding law requirements. Assists with scheduling lunch & learn seminars with manufacturer representatives to educate the technical staff about new and current products and systems. Schedule and meet with manufacturer"s representatives to understand material and system changes and updates in the industry. Bachelor"s degree in architecture Minimum of 3 to 5 years" experience in editing / writing architectural specifications Thorough understanding of building construction materials, methods, assemblies, systems, details, codes and construction techniques. Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Familiar with the current IBC building code.
