  • Support commissioning and initial testing activities for HIL systems, dynamometers, and vehicles.
  • Validate PCR packages to identify hardware, software, and calibration deficiencies before final release.
  • Support fuel economy and emissions testing, including dynamometer testing, data reviews, issue investigation, and vehicle troubleshooting.
  • Lead engineering development trips to support project milestones.
  • Analyze and summarize data from development trips, daily drives, and fleet testing to evaluate calibration maturity at quality gates.
  • Coordinate AVL drive testing, including scheduling, issue triage, and implementation of improvements.
  • Support issue tracking and resolution through GIMs, IMS, and related systems.
  • Collaborate with powertrain controls teams to ensure vehicle features operate effectively and efficiently.
  • Train calibration engineers and other personnel on propulsion vehicle systems and controls operation.
  • Support environmental testing trips and prepare activity reports for senior management.
  • Work with Centers of Excellence (CoE) teams to ensure engineering best practices are followed.
  • Serve as the primary contact for system-level issues within the assigned functional area.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Automotive experience gained through professional work or university programs such as Formula SAE, Baja SAE, or SAE EcoCAR.
  • Strong knowledge of powertrain systems.
  • Experience executing structured test plans and verification processes to ensure calibration quality.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to manage multiple technical issues and competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least two years of calibration experience in an electrification application.
  • Knowledge of control system development tools, including MATLAB and Simulink.
  • Familiarity with calibration and diagnostic tools such as INCA, MDA, PowerCal, CRETA, CANalyzer, and CANoe.
  • Experience developing powertrain control solutions, including control algorithms, onboard diagnostics (OBD), and embedded software.
  • Knowledge of electric machines, power electronics, and electrification power flow fundamentals.
  • Experience in engine or transmission design and development or powertrain systems engineering.
  • Master's degree in Engineering.
