REQUIRED PROCEDURES
  • Required:
    • ERCP (Diagnostic, Therapeutic, with biopsy, with excision of polyp)
    • Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)
    • Liver biopsy
    • Insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube
  • Preferred:
    • Upper GI endoscopy (with biopsy, with foreign body removal, with fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser), With injection of varices, With PEG)
    • Esophageal dilatation/manometry
    • Esophageal manometry interpretation
    • Small Bowel biopsy
    • Lower GI endoscopy
    • Sigmoidoscopy (Flexible, Rigid)
    • Colonoscopy
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Board: Board Certified required
  • Licenses: Active Indiana license, CSR
  • DEA: DEA required
  • Certifications: BLS, ABLS
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide GI consultations for inpatients and transfers.
  • Manage inpatient GI cases.
  • Perform ERCP procedures as needed.
  • Cover on-call shifts 24 hours/day for seven consecutive days.
  • Collaborate with support staff (APPs and rounding nurse) and GI team.
