TinkBird Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced, Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician (MD or DO) to join a Family Medicine Residency Program as Core Faculty at a community-based teaching hospital in North Carolina. This role is ideal for physicians who are passionate about medical education, resident mentorship, and full-spectrum family medicine, and who bring established inpatient and outpatient experience to an academic setting.
This position combines resident teaching and precepting with an outpatient continuity clinic, allowing physicians to meaningfully impact the next generation of providers while maintaining active clinical practice in a supportive, mission-driven environment focused on rural and underserved care.

Teaching / Preceptorship: 70%
Clinical Practice: 30% (outpatient primary care)
Inpatient / Backup Rotation:
1 2 weeks every 6 8 weeks
Family Medicine inpatient service including pediatrics and newborn care
Daily Outpatient Volume: patients

Candidate Qualifications
Experience is required for this role.
Board-Certified in Family Medicine (MD or DO)
Required certifications must be through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Demonstrated experience in both inpatient and outpatient family medicine
Comfortable performing joint injections, dermatologic procedures, and OMT
Strong interest in medical education, resident supervision, and mentorship
Obstetrics experience welcomed but not required
Commitment to rural and community-based medicine
