Tractor Trailer Chassis Mechanic

Interstate Waste Services (IWS) is hiring a Level B Tractor Trailer Chassis Mechanic in Goshen, NY!

$29-$35 per Hour

• Perform PMs, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on tractors, trailers, chassis, and fleet equipment
• Diagnose and repair air brakes, suspension, wheel-end, steering, electrical, lighting, and mechanical systems
• Complete trailer repairs including doors, floors, crossmembers, landing gear, and structural components
• Inspect and service tires, brakes, bearings, hubs, wiring, and wear components
• Perform welding and fabrication repairs as needed
• Complete repair orders and maintenance documentation accurately
• Follow all company safety and maintenance procedures
• Support road calls, overtime, and emergency repairs when required

• Hands-on experience repairing tractor trailers, trailers, chassis, or heavy-duty fleet equipment
• Knowledge of air brake, suspension, wheel-end, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues independently
• Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record required
• Basic computer skills and ability to document repairs electronically
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work indoors and outdoors
