Must reside in the SE Michigan area. Working on site based out of Auburn Hills, MI. There will be 80% travel- North America, Canada and Mexico (travel minimum once a month).
This role is responsible for ensuring suppliers consistently meet quality, delivery, and regulatory requirements while driving continuous improvement initiatives that support exceptional customer service and parts availability.
This position requires a strong hands-on presence at supplier sites and close collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, Service Parts Planning, Distribution Centers, and Warranty teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- 2-3 years of experience in:
- Supplier Quality
- Quality Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Operations Quality
- Automotive Quality or related disciplines
- Ability to travel up to 80% of the time to supplier locations.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience leading root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
- Business process optimization experience.
- Experience analyzing and improving quality aspects of manufacturing or operational processes.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively present data and problem-solving results to all levels of an organization.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook
