What You ll Do
- Provide inpatient OB/GYN and labor and delivery call coverage.
- Manage routine vaginal deliveries, including low-forceps deliveries.
- Evaluate patients and make clinical decisions regarding cesarean sections.
- Manage complicated deliveries, including breech presentations, multiple births, abruptions, and cesarean sections.
- Provide VBAC care and repair third- and fourth-degree lacerations.
- Provide gynecologic call coverage as required.
- Document patient care in the Epic electronic medical record.
What You Need
Required - Physician specializing in OB/GYN.
- Ability to provide inpatient and hospital-based OB/GYN call coverage.
- Ability to manage routine and complicated deliveries, cesarean sections, VBACs, and significant perineal laceration repairs.
- Ability to provide gynecologic call coverage.
Preferred - Experience with Epic electronic medical records.
- Experience working in a Level II nursery and hospital labor and delivery setting.
About the Assignment
This assignment supports a hospital-based labor and delivery service with onsite laboratory and ultrasound resources, midwife coverage, and a Level II nursery. The facility has approximately deliveries annually and labor and delivery triage visits per month. Credentialing is estimated at 90 days, with expedited processing available based on need.
