About the Position
Seeking an experienced, hands-on Head Chef / Kitchen Manager to lead culinary operations across our restaurant and private event venue.
We're looking for a talented chef who enjoys cooking, takes pride in great food, and has the leadership and organizational skills to manage a successful kitchen.
This is a working chef position. You'll spend the majority of your time actively cooking and leading the line, while also overseeing kitchen staff, food costs, purchasing, inventory, and menu execution.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily kitchen operations for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and private events.
- Work actively on the line, maintaining quality, consistency, and efficient service.
- Supervise, train, schedule, and motivate kitchen staff.
- Manage food costs, inventory, purchasing, portion control, and waste.
- Create daily specials, seasonal menu additions, and event offerings.
- Coordinate food preparation and staffing for private parties, buffets, and special events.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards.
- Collaborate with ownership and front-of-house management to improve operations and profitability.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional kitchen experience, including culinary leadership.
- Strong cooking skills and ability to work multiple stations.
- Experience with kitchen scheduling, inventory, ordering, and food-cost management.
- Ability to lead by example in a busy kitchen.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Catering, banquet, or private event experience a plus.
- ServSafe certification required.
