Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Industrial Licensed Electrician to join our maintenance and operations team. This position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with industrial electrical systems, PLC troubleshooting, motor controls, and preventive maintenance practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems and production equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Diagnose and repair PLC-controlled machinery and automated systems
- Install and maintain motors, VFDs, control panels, sensors, and conveyors
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, and company safety standards
- Support equipment upgrades, facility improvements, and new installations
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
- Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to maximize efficiency
Qualifications
- Electrician License
- 3+ years of industrial electrical experience in manufacturing or production environments
- Strong knowledge of:
- PLC troubleshooting
- Motor controls
- VFDs
- Electrical distribution systems
- Industrial automation
- HVAC Units
- Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work overtime and respond to emergency maintenance calls as needed
Preferred Experience
- Experience in printing, transit fare media, or industrial production environments
- Familiarity with RFID, magnetic stripe, or automated production equipment
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, bend, climb, and work in industrial environments
- Comfortable working around machinery and electrical systems
