About the Role
We are seeking a highly analytical Sales Analyst to support a large Walmart business. This individual will partner closely with Sales Leadership and Account Management teams to provide the insights, reporting, forecasting, and analysis needed to drive business growth.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with Walmart data, strong Excel skills, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable business recommendations. This role is highly visible and will play a critical part in supporting customer strategy, promotional effectiveness, inventory management, assortment optimization, and overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting & Analytics
- Maintain and enhance weekly sales reporting and business performance dashboards.
- Refresh and analyze trend reports, modular performance reports, and sales tracking tools.
- Deliver actionable insights on category, brand, item, and retailer performance.
- Monitor POS performance and identify risks and opportunities.
Forecasting & Business Planning
- Support weekly and monthly forecasting efforts.
- Analyze sales trends and recommend forecast adjustments.
- Monitor performance against forecasts and business objectives.
- Identify assortment gaps and growth opportunities.
Promotions & Retail Execution
- Analyze promotional events, displays, rollbacks, Walmart Cash, and Ibotta programs.
- Measure sales lifts and return on investment from promotional activity.
- Provide recommendations to improve future programs.
- Track inventory movement and markdown effectiveness.
Walmart Analytics & Operations
- Support item setup and maintenance activities.
- Analyze category and competitive performance.
- Investigate deductions and partner with internal teams on resolution.
- Provide analytical support for line reviews, customer meetings, and business updates.
- Deliver ad hoc reporting and insights for sales leadership and key account managers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1-3+ years of experience in sales analysis, category management, customer analytics, business analytics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is $50.00 per hour.
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate .
