Broad Street Bagel Co. is growing, with several locations opening throughout the Capital District. We're looking for a reliable, motivated Shift Leader who wants to take ownership of a shop and grow with our company.Several position available.
This is a hands-on leadership position! We need someone who shows up on time, notices what needs to be done and takes responsibility for making sure the shop runs smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Open the bagel shop and get everything ready for the day
- Oversee daily operations during your shift
- Take customer orders and provide friendly, welcoming service
- Organize and direct staff throughout the day
- Work alongside your team and jump in wherever needed
- Keep the shop clean, stocked and organized
- Assist with inventory and basic ordering
- Maintain our standards for food quality and customer service
- Handle day-to-day problems and make decisions when needed
- Help train and support employees
- Communicate with ownership about staffing, inventory and operational needs
What We're Looking For
We need someone who is extremely reliable and punctual and isn't afraid to take charge.
The right person will be:
- Friendly and great with customers
- Organized and able to multitask
- Comfortable leading and giving direction
- A strong team player
- Dependable with a strong work ethic
- Able to stay calm and solve problems during busy periods
- Interested in growing with a local company
Restaurant, café, bakery or supervisory experience is preferred.
Experience making lattes, cappuccinos and other espresso drinks is a plus.
Pay & Opportunity
$20-$24 per hour, based on experience, plus overtime opportunities.
This is a 40-hour-per-week position, with additional hours potentially available.
With several locations opening throughout the Capital District, there is significant room for advancement for the right person. We are looking for people who want more than just a temporary job and are interested in taking on greater responsibility as we grow.
