Job description

Locum Anesthesiology Job in Oklahoma Seeking Anesthesiology physicians for long-term locum coverage near Oklahoma City, OK. Job Details:

Coverage Date: Apr 1, 2022 - Ongoing
Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call
Practice Setting: Inpatient
Other Details:
- Types of cases: Ortho, general surgery, GI sedation, general pediatrics (BMT, T&A), adult ENT, GYN, spine, cataracts. All are bread and butter cases.
- 2-3 providers needed to cover the locums' schedule
- Split coverage. Will need each to take 2-weekend calls (F-Su) per quarter. If a split FTE, then each can take a 1-weekend call/quarter.
- Board-certified or board-eligible required.
- Generally, an FTE takes 2-weekend calls (F-Su collective) per quarter and approximately 8 weekdays (M-Th scattered) per quarter. Calls are distributed equally. The call burden is light and the calls doc generally comes in at 1200. Rarely get called in overnight or on weekends.
- the provider will supervise CRNAs in 4 rooms, and CRNAs will work in collaboration with the surgeon in the other 4 rooms. The supervising doc at each facility can be available for consult or assistance to any CRNA if needed.
