  • Office Equipment Available: Hospital Labor and Delivery equipment
  • Support Staff Available: Midwives and nursing staff
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
  • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
  • Temporary Privileges Available: Yes
  • Credentialing Timeline: 90 days (can be expedited)
REQUIRED PROCEDURES
  • Routine Vaginal Delivery & Low Forceps
  • Decision-Making for C-Section
  • Complicated Delivery - C-Section, Breech, Multiple Births, Abruptions
  • VBACs
  • Repair of 3rd & 4th Degree Lacerations
  • GYN Call coverage

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
  • Licenses: Active Kentucky license or Universal License (IMLC)
  • DEA: Active DEA certification
  • Certifications: BLS
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide obstetrical and gynecological care during on call shifts
  • Perform routine vaginal deliveries, low forceps deliveries, and VBACs
  • Manage complicated deliveries including C sections, breech, multiple births, and abruptions
  • Repair 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
  • Cover GYN call, including assessment and management of gynecologic emergencies
