Clinical Role

Provide short-term Gastroenterology coverage for inpatient consults and GI procedures, including ERCP and EUS.

Assignment Details

Coverage Dates:11/5/26 - 11/18/2612/31/26 - 1/6/273/4/27 - 3/10/273/25/27 - 3/31/27

Schedule:

• Thursday 7:00 AM-Thursday 7:00 AM
• 7-day assignment
• Inpatient and GI lab coverage

Clinical Responsibilities

• Perform colonoscopies on Mon-Fri schedule
• Perform ERCP and EUS
• Evaluate inpatient GI consultations
• Perform additional GI procedures as needed
• Manage assigned and unassigned patients

Call

• Beeper call
• Approximately 4-6 patients seen
• Call ratio: 4:6

Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible Gastroenterology - Required
• Gastroenterology Fellowship - Required
• Active Texas license - Required
• ERCP and EUS - Required
• ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS - Required
• Trauma Level I/II
• Epic EMR
