Position Overview
Ascend Medical Staffing is seeking a Pediatrician (MD/DO) for a locum tenens opportunity in Florence, Oregon. This is an excellent opportunity to provide critical neonatal and pediatric inpatient care in a supportive and scenic coastal community.
Opportunity Details:
- Coverage Type: 24-Hour Unrestricted Call (Off-site, home/hotel acceptable)
- Days per Month:
- Average Patients per Day: 1
- Patient Demographics: Neonatal & Pediatric
- Setting: Inpatient only (Hospital Privileges)
- Beds: 21-bed hospital
- Responsibilities:
- Attend deliveries
- Admit newborns post-delivery
- Neonatal resuscitation
- Admissions only no rounding required
- Support: You will work solo onsite but will have access to Tele-Neonatology for backup
- Credentialing Timeline: 60+ days
- Reason for Need: Gap in coverage
Compensation:
- Bill Rate (24-hour Call): $1,300/day
- Call Back Rate: $265/hour
- Gratis: Negotiable
Additional Information:
- Orientation tasks will be completed on the first day of the assignment
- Assignment extensions require 6-month approval cycles
- No clinic/outpatient work required
- Certifications Required: NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
