Specific Duties Follow all applicable environmental, health and safety rules and procedures and immediately report all dangerous situations, near-misses, and injuries. Buyer Activities: procuring goods and services, for example, raw materials, consumables, small equipment, tools, parts, supplies. Reviews and processes requisitions for correct authorization and vendor selection. Confers with vendors to obtain product service information, for example, price, availability, and delivery schedule. Maintain correct inbound freight cost on purchase orders. Selects products for purchase by testing, observing, or examining items and/or feedback from Plant personnel and management. Continually monitor current values according to the Knowledge of the market price (3 quotes) and corporate requirements. Minimum of BA/BS in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field. Must demonstrate strong public speaking, presentation, and negotiation skills. Must have the ability to work independently and possess strong decision-making, motivational, workload management, analytical and organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Require 5-10 years purchasing experience with ERP system. Ability to read blueprints and engineering documents, required.
