Day Shift Job Details We are hiring a CDL A Driver for Port and Yard Operations in Compton/Signal Hill, California area, offering $31 per hour. This position involves local deliveries with a focus on safety and efficiency in handling equipment. You will enjoy the benefit of being home daily, supported by a dedicated TransForce team that prioritizes your needs and safety.
Pay & Schedule - Pay Rate: $31 per hour
- Schedule: Monday - Friday
- Shift: Day Shift (6 AM - 4 PM)
- Home Daily
What You'll Be Doing - Transporting and repositioning containers, chassis, and trailers between marine terminals and customer facilities.
- Conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and documenting conditions of equipment.
- Utilizing technology for real-time tracking and communication regarding assignments and updates.
- Assisting warehouse personnel with strategic trailer placement when needed.
What You Need - Valid CDL A
- 2+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable CDL driving experience
- 6+ months of recent and verifiable PORT experience
- Current DOT Medical Certificate
- TWIC Card required (or ability to obtain immediately)
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years)
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
- Must be at least 23 years old
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
