APP Nocturnal Hospitalist/ICU Capable in Beautiful Eastern MI - Great Scenery/Water Sports/Fishing! Location: Ogemaw County, Michigan Setting: Hospital/Inpatient + ICU capable in an 80 bed hospital Coverage: 7 on / 7 off, 7p-7a night shift Start Date: May 31 (30 day credentialing) End Date: Ongoing Requirements:
- Active, unrestricted MI License
- Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible
- Clean DEA & NPDB/Malpractice (no current suits, unresolved cases, large payouts in past 7 years)
- Hospitalist trained with ICU capabilities including procedures (see below)
- ACLS, BLS certifications
- Long-term availability
Procedures (must have 12 months of case logs with 50 cases minimum
- Lumbar Puncture
- Endotracheal Intubation and Extubation
- Ventilator Management Including Readiness for And Administering Respirator Weaning/Oxygen Therapy and Extubation. Assessing Need for Intubation
- Insertion of Arterial Lines, Central Venous Lines Either Percutaneously or By Cut Down
- Chest Tube Insertion
- Moderate Sedation
- Tracheostomy care including tube change
- Arterial Line Insertion and Removal (Radial and Femoral)
- CVC Line Placement
- External Pacing Including Adjusting Temporary Epicardial, Transvenous Or Transcutaneous Pacemaker as necessary management of Tension Pneumothorax in Emergent Situation
