The University of Kentucky College of Medicine is seeking a Division Chief of Plastic Surgery, with a record of academic achievement and experience as a division chief or program director, to lead a full-scope division and integrated residency.
The Position:
- Lead 5 faculty and 5 APPs covering all subspecialities including aesthetic, craniofacial, cleft, microsurgery, hand, breast reconstruction and burn surgery.
- Direct a 6-year integrated residency matching 2 residents a year, and launch new subspecialty fellowships.
- Covers a 6-hospital network including the newly renovated UK Albert B. Chandler Hospital, a regional tertiary referral care center for Kentucky and portions of surrounding states - continued footprint expansion coming in
- Grow research with two division labs, a microsurgery teaching lab and a dedicated research associate.
- 6-8% growth each year for the past 5 years
- Leadership compensation ranging between $850K to $975K.
Division Chief of Plastic Surgery will possess:
- National/international recognition through involvement in academic/professional societies
- A strong history of patient care, training future plastic surgery leaders, and research and scholarship
- Demonstrated leadership in a medical school or academic medical center setting
- Proven record of recruitment, retention and mentorship
- Board certification in plastic surgery and eligibility for Kentucky licensure
