NOW HIRING: Quality Control Inspector (QC)
Location: Butler, NJ 07405
Pay Rate: $21-$25 per hour ( shift /differential)
Shifts: 2nd & 3rd Shift
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Shift Schedule
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
- 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to inspect and measure metal parts, calibrate measuring equipment, and ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Inspect metal parts during production and upon completion.
- Perform first article, in-process, final, and incoming material inspections.
- Calibrate and maintain measuring and inspection equipment.
- Use micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauge pins, thread gauges, and optical comparators.
- Read and interpret engineering and mechanical drawings.
- Document inspection results and enter data into quality databases.
- Identify and report defects and quality issues.
- Work with production teams to resolve problems and improve product quality.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments, metrology equipment, precision measuring tools, interpreting mechanical drawings, and performing quality inspections in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong math skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) preferred.
- Previous QC inspection experience in metal manufacturing is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong English communication and documentation skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to frequently lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to perform inspection tasks requiring close attention to detail and the use of measuring tools.
