Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Coordinator to join our team. As a Kitchen Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations, including food preparation, inventory management, staff supervision, and ensuring high-quality food service. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Develop and maintain standard recipes and portion control guidelines
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper food handling techniques and kitchen procedures
- Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and specials
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Oversee catering operations, including menu planning and execution
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints related to the kitchen
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in kitchen management or restaurant management is required
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary trends
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Experience in catering is a plus
- Excellent communication skills
