Locums OB/GYN Colorado Springs, CO (CO license or IMLC)Why This RoleCO license or IMLC acceptedStructured weeknight and weekend callIn-house anesthesiaFully staffed L&D and OB emergency departmentNo supervision requiredAssignment DetailsCoverage Window: January-April 2027; exact dates to be confirmedWeeknight Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 5:00 PM-7:00 AMWeekend Schedule: Friday, 5:00 PM-Monday, 7:00 AMCoverage Need: Three weeks of weeknight coverage and three weekends; allocation to be confirmedCall: Offsite pager call providing primary OB/GYN coverage and backup to the OB hospitalist teamCommitment: Full accepted coverage stints requiredCoverage Type: Call, admissions, deliveries, emergency surgery and daily roundingVolume: Approximately 60 deliveries monthly; significant onsite time may be needed during callSetting: Inpatient; Level III trauma facility and NICU; 12 L&D bedsSupport: L&D RNs, OB emergency department and in-house anesthesiaResources: Onsite lab and ultrasoundEMR: EpicCredentialing: 90-120 daysClinical DetailsObstetrics: Low- and high-risk pregnancy management, antepartum admissions and fetal heart rate interpretation, including NST/CST/FSELabor and Delivery: Vaginal and low-forceps deliveries, C-sections, breech and multiple births, abruptions, VBACs and third-/fourth-degree laceration repairGynecology: ED consults and emergent open surgery, including ectopic pregnancy, oophorectomy, cystectomy and extensive lysis of adhesionsAdditional Scope: Suction D&C and management of cesarean complications, including hysterectomyRequirementsBC in OB/GYN requiredCompleted OB/GYN residencyActive CO license or IMLCACLS, BLS and NRP highly preferredActive DEA required for credentialing and maintained throughout the assignmentAbility to perform all required proceduresIf you're interested, please send - Updated CV - Current availability - Active state license(s) - IMLC Status - Preferred rate (We submit whatever rate would make the assignment work for you.
