Coverage Dates: Providers must specify all available dates. Weekend-only availability is not required.
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient gastroenterology consultation and call coverage.
- Evaluate and manage patients with gastrointestinal conditions.
- Perform relevant diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures as clinically indicated and within the provider's privileges.
- Respond to hospital calls within the required 30-minute timeframe.
- Coordinate patient care with the hospital's clinical team.
Note: ERCP and EUS are not required for hospital emergency department or call coverage.
Required Qualifications:
- Board-certified in Gastroenterology.
- Active Missouri medical license or eligibility through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
- Current ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications.
- Ability to provide 24-hour call coverage and respond within 30 minutes.
- Hospital privileges or eligibility for temporary privileges, as applicable.
