About the Position
Haley Mansion is seeking a dependable, experienced, and motivated Kitchen Staff Manager to help lead our kitchen team and maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and service. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced banquet and event environment and knows how to motivate a team while keeping kitchen operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Kitchen Supervision & Leadership
- Supervise and coordinate prep cooks, dishwashers, and other kitchen staff.
- Step in to assist on the cooking line when staffing shortages occur.
- Motivate team members and maintain a positive, professional kitchen environment.
- Assist with developing and managing staff schedules.
Food Quality & Presentation
- Monitor portion sizes and ensure plating specifications are followed.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Ensure every dish meets Haley Mansion's standards before leaving the kitchen line.
Sanitation & Kitchen Operations
- Monitor kitchen cleanliness, organization, and waste management.
- Ensure opening and closing sanitation checklists are completed consistently.
- Maintain proper food safety practices and sanitation standards.
Communication & Teamwork
- Maintain open communication with front-of-house management, servers, and the event coordinator.
- Coordinate kitchen operations to support smooth banquet and event service.
- Help ensure the kitchen team is prepared for scheduled events and service demands.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in banquet or restaurant operations.
- Must possess all required food safety certifications.
- Professional appearance and a strong work ethic.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Strong leadership and team-motivation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Reliable transportation.
- Availability to work Thursday through Sunday.
