Argo is partnering with a leading law firm to identify a mid-senior level Associate for its Business Transactions practice in Kansas City, Missouri. This is an in-office position.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Transactions Associate will handle a broad range of M&A and general corporate and commercial matters for a diverse client base.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and support mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, deal structuring, and closings
- Draft and negotiate purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, and commercial contracts
- Advise clients on entity formation, governance, and general corporate matters
- Counsel on commercial transactions and business operations
- Manage client relationships and mentor junior attorneys
QUALIFICATIONS
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- 3+ years of experience in M&A and general corporate/commercial matters
- Missouri bar admission required
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Strong client service orientation and business acumen
