This role is integral to the financial management of our construction projects, requiring a professional with a strong background in construction accounting. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of Construction Work in Progress (WIP) scheduling, year-end and month-end close processes, General Ledger (GL) management, forecasting, financial reporting, budgeting, and GAAP. Familiarity with Timberline software and ASC 606 is a plus. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements, ensuring the implementation of appropriate accounting control procedures. Develop and manage project budgets, perform variance analyses, and prepare cost reports. Conduct forecasting activities and provide strategic recommendations to the management based on financial analysis and projections. Ensure compliance with GAAP, ASC 606, and other applicable regulatory standards. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather all necessary data for transaction analysis. Use Timberline software for various accounting operations. Continuously improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions when necessary. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the construction industry. Strong knowledge of Construction WIP, month-end and year-end close processes, General Ledger (GL) management, forecasting, financial reporting, budgeting, and GAAP. Proficiency in using Timberline software and understanding of ASC 606. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. CPA or CMA certification will be considered a plus.
