Commercial Electrician

Location: Hobbs, NM 88240
Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
Per Diem: $125 per day
Experience Required: 3-5 years of commercial electrical experience

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Commercial Electricians for a project in Hobbs, New Mexico. Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years of hands-on commercial electrical experience and be comfortable installing conduit, pulling wire, installing electrical devices, reading blueprints, and assisting with electrical troubleshooting.

Pay and Benefits

Job Responsibilities

• Install, bend, and run conduit, including EMT and other conduit types as required.
• Install electrical fittings, supports, boxes, and raceways.
• Pull, route, and label wire and cable for lighting, receptacles, equipment, and power distribution systems.
• Install switches, outlets, lighting fixtures, and other electrical devices.
• Assist with electrical panel installations, circuit terminations, and equipment connections under appropriate supervision.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and wiring diagrams to complete assigned work.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repairing electrical circuits, lighting systems, and electrical devices.
• Use electrical testing equipment to check continuity and help identify electrical faults.
• Perform rough-in and trim-out work in offices, retail spaces, warehouses, and other commercial facilities.
• Follow all jobsite safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Coordinate with supervisors and other trades to maintain an efficient workflow.
• Maintain tools, keep work areas clean, and follow all project safety and quality requirements.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of commercial electrical experience required.
• Hands-on experience installing conduit, pulling wire, and installing electrical devices.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with electrical testing equipment and basic troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of electrical safety practices, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements.
• Ability to work effectively with a team and follow instructions from supervisors.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to report to the jobsite in Hobbs, NM.
• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of commercial electrical work, including standing, bending, lifting, and working from ladders as needed.
