Built-Up Commercial Roofing Technician
We are seeking an experienced Built-Up Commercial Roofing Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining built-up roofing (BUR) systems on commercial and industrial buildings. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and experienced working with asphalt, tar, insulation, and multi-ply roofing systems.
Key Responsibilities - Install, repair, and maintain built-up roofing systems on commercial properties
- Apply hot asphalt, roofing felts, insulation, and coatings according to manufacturer specifications
- Perform tear-offs and roof preparation for new installations and repairs
- Operate roofing equipment, kettles, torches, and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Inspect roofs and identify leaks, damage, and repair needs
- Follow all OSHA safety standards and company safety procedures
- Work collaboratively with foremen, project managers, and crew members
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Complete work efficiently while maintaining quality standards
Qualifications - 2+ years of commercial roofing experience preferred
- Experience with built-up roofing (BUR) systems required
- Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions
- Knowledge of roofing materials, tools, and safety practices
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
- Valid drivers license preferred
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus
